This existing semi-detached house was given a new lease of life with the addition of a new rear extension—a separate pavilion, linked to the existing residence by interconnecting bridges across a new feature pond. The extension is clad externally with horizontal hardwood timber boarding and this concept was carried through in the details internally. The new staircase is delicately supported by hanging steel rods which provide support for the timber treads.
