For this new semi-detached house, we took advantage of the longish site by having a large covered terrace to the side and extending it all the way to the middle of the house. Both the living and dining areas front this space, and with the sliding doors fully open, they form one large continuous entertainment area. A 3-storey void brings light into the middle of the house. The staircase is uniquely constructed with pre-cast concrete treads supported on a metal structure. The same concrete profile is used throughout the circulation areas and adds an interesting texture and rhythm to the floor and ceiling.
